I did a lot of research and was contemplating to have my implants done in China but after having a consultation with Dr. David Kao, I cannot recommend him enough. He explained the importance of every step, he was so particular about little details especially my gums before placing the implants. He also explained the different brands of implants. I ended up having 2 implants done with David instead of flying back to China. It was the best decision ever! Thank you so much for the thoroughness and care.

She took the time to clearly explain everything, which made the entire experience feel comfortable and completely stress free. I truly appreciate her kindness and the outstanding level of care she provides. A big thank you to Dr. Kah and her assistant Jess for exceptional care and dedication and the wonderful reception team, who were so friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. My best dental experience so far! I have so much anxiety when going to the dentist because of my past experiences, but I want to say that the Christchurch Boutique dental team is handling my concerns with so much care and empathy. I had a hygiene appointment with Genevieve and she has the gentlest hands!! I couldn’t believe I could have my teeth cleaned with almost zero pain. Just outstanding!!! Then I also had a dental consult with Dr. Kah Ern for my jaw pain and one thing that really stood out to me is how clear and informative she is in explaining to me my condition and what the next steps are. This is such a refreshing and reassuring experience. I do believe there are plenty of dentists out there who are skilled at what they do, but the team at Christchurch Boutique can communicate eloquently on top of their dentistry skills. For someone who has always struggled with dental issues and has often been advised to get “needed” treatments, I’m genuinely so happy to have found Christchurch Boutique Dental! Not only are they incredibly professional, but they’re also warm, genuine, and truly caring. From the dentists to the front‑of‑house staff, they make you feel comfortable the moment you arrive. What I appreciate most is how clearly they explain what’s causing the issues and walk me through the different options I can consider. They help me weigh my choices instead of pushing costly treatments without empathy, which has happened to me before elsewhere. I’ve had most of my treatments done by Dr. Haneen, who is absolutely fantastic - gentle, thorough, and very reassuring. I’ve also been seen by Dr. David, who was equally great. And honestly, reading other reviews just confirms how consistently kind, professional, and highly skilled the whole team is. I feel like I’ve found a dental practice I can truly trust. This place is hands down, the best dentist practice I have visited in my life. Every experience (except the cost, which is similarly high to most other dentists in NZ) is impeccable. As someone who has had traumatic dentistry in my past, it is of utmost importance to me that I feel comfortable and at ease in whatever practice I go to, and this place puts me at ease like no other. From the calm and relaxed manner of the people who take your booking over the phone, to the ambient / relaxing music played in the reception while waiting for your appointment. You can tell that so much care has been taken in these aspects as Boutique Dental understand how difficult it is for some of us to drag ourselves to the dentist. My dentist in particular (Jeffery) is very impressive in his dentistry skills and is also a perfectionist. If something isn't quite right he will work at it until it is. His manner is very calm, relaxed and respectful. Unlike some dentists I have visited in the past, I actually look forward to my appointments with him as I really appreciate how much care he takes during our time together (and in any work that needs doing). I needed quite a lot of extensive work done when I first started going here and he did it all with aplomb. It's satisfying watching someone work at this level. I've been going here for 2 or 3 (I can't quite remember) years now and will continue going for as long as I can.
