Refreshed and Natural Results, Upper Eyelid Surgery After years of feeling like my eyes looked heavy and tired I decided to consult Dr MacKenzie for an upper blepharoplasty.From the first meeting I knew I was in good hands. She took the time to explain the procedure and ensured I had realistic expectations. The surgery itself was easier than I participated. It was performed under general anaesthesia at her surgery in Remuera. My recovery was exactly as described - I had a little bruising and swelling for a couple of weeks but the discomfort was minimal. The results are exactly what I wanted. I look like a refreshed version of myself. My eyes look more open and alert and the scars are perfectly hidden within my natural eyelid creases. If you are considering eyelid surgery, I cannot recommend Dr MacKenzie enough.

I am extremely unhappy with my experience and the outcome of my surgery. She has a lot of negative reviews as well as I’m not the only one who complained. I complained about her manners and lack of ability to perform a small surgery. I had two small moles removed, yet a year later I am left with two large, disfiguring scars that are still painful and sore when I shower. This is completely unacceptable. After surgery, a large amount of tape was applied to my scars, which was extremely difficult to remove. Another skin specialist confirmed that the amount of tape used was inappropriate and likely disrupted my healing, yet during my consultation with this surgeon, she was distracted by discussing personal matters with the nurse while performing my procedure and that was unprofessional and uncomfortable for me. I was denied a proper post-operative follow-up appointment unless I paid additional fees, despite this being clinically necessary care. During my recent visit, the surgeon spoke aggressively, raised her voice in the waiting room, and refused to listen to my concerns. Her receptionist, Nicky, was also rude and dismissive. I have tried to raise these issues via formal complaints and emails, but they were ignored, and no meaningful follow-up was provided. I am extremely dissatisfied and intend to escalate this matter further. I expected acknowledgment of my complaint, a professional review of my post-surgery care, an apology for the unprofessional behaviour, and assurance that clinically necessary post-surgery follow-up will not be hindered by unnecessary fees but that didn’t happened. Katarzyna Mackenzie is unprofessional, rude, unpleasant and the surgery was a disaster. Overall, this has been a distressing, unprofessional, and unacceptable experience. The response provided below demonstrates a lack of care, respect, and professionalism. The refusal to provide appropriate post-care treatment, combined with the reasoning and manner in which the service was delivered, reflects poorly on the standard of performance expected in this role. The poor reply provided by MacKenzie demonstrates a lack of accountability for mistakes made during a relatively simple surgical procedure. Furthermore, her refusal to provide post-operative care or attempt to correct the issue reflects unprofessional behavior. Her actions also exhibit arrogance and a bullying attitude. I have therefore escalated this matter further to seek resolution.

Outstanding... I had a lower body lift... Dr M is honest, passionate and frank. She was attentive and thorough throughout the process. Post op Dr M's aftercare and communication was top notch. Dr M took me through all the options and recommended what was best. I'm very impressed with the results and Dr M's workmanship. You couldn't be in safer hands and it's clear Dr M wants to do the best for you. My advice, Just do it, it'll be the best decision you ever make!!! Love my new body, Thanks Dr Mackenzie.
