Specialist Dr Denesh Patel

Dermatologist Vocational scope: Dermatology. Qualifications: MB ChB 1989 Otago; FRACP 1998. Post-Fellowship training: Denesh graduated from the University of Otago Medical School in 1989. The foundations of his medical skills were then developed working in a variety of medical positions in New Zealand as a junior doctor. He recognised dermatology as a branch of medicine where he could use all these skills to help patients with skin disease. He commenced dermatology training in Auckland before taking a position at the esteemed St John’s Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas’ Hospital, London. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1998.

Denesh is a vocationally registered dermatologist in New Zealand and a member of the New Zealand Dermatological Society. Other memberships include: American Society of Mohs Surgery, Australasian Dermatopathology Society and the Auckland Indian Medical Association. First registered with the NZ Medical Council on 3 January 1991.
